What are we?

The Raptor Review is a student-run journal dedicated to exploring mathematics and physics beyond the classroom. Created by Tamalpais High School students, we aim to share our curiosity, ideas, and discoveries with the broader Tam community through articles, problems, explanations, and student work.

In the classroom, students often have to move quickly from one concept to the next, leaving little time to explore the questions that make mathematics and physics so compelling: Why do these ideas work? Where do they come from? What can they reveal when we look at them from a different perspective?

The Raptor Review is our attempt to create space for that exploration. We hope to help students encounter ideas they may not otherwise have the opportunity to study—and to see mathematics and physics not simply as subjects to complete, but as fields full of questions worth pursuing.
